About Me.
I am intrigued by the ways human beings alter their natural surroundings to suit their needs and desires. For me, architecture combines this fascination with my love of art and design. Over the years, I have grown to appreciate the links between my personal political beliefs and the practice of architecture, and I am now most passionate about design work that simultaneously minimizes environmental impact and educates fellow citizens on the importance of sustainability.
I am a fully-licensed architect with broad expertise in sustainability, client relationships, project management, and graphic design. I completed my undergraduate thesis at RPI (Troy, NY), which examined architectural distinctions between natural and synthetic worlds. I then joined Aedis Architects (San Jose, CA), where I managed projects focusing on sustainable design of educational spaces, including public and private schools and community colleges. This work involved extensive engagement with local stakeholders – students, teachers, parents, administrators – and led to direct positive impacts on these communities for years to come.
Beyond my professional work, I am a relentless advocate for sustainability, equity, and education. I have taken on leadership roles within the Silicon Valley AIA chapter’s Committee on the Environment (COTE) and Women in Architecture (WIA) groups, and I provided graphic design expertise for multiple design conferences, including the Architectural Intelligence (2018, 2019) and the Women’s Leadership Summit (2022). I have also volunteered time as a mentor to middle and high school students interested in architecture and environmental issues.
